Simple, Stress Free Tips for Summer Entertaining

Summer is almost here and with it comes tons of fun holidays and reasons to host a party. For some, the season gives us a green light to go full steam ahead with plans for backyard soirees and rooftop cocktail parties. For others, the idea of hosting anything sounds stressful and intimidating. No matter which category you fall into we have tips to get you ready for entertaining in a stress-free and fun way.

Plan ahead. Tackling your to-do list over a week or so, instead of trying to do it all the night before, will help keep you from feeling overwhelmed.

Create an amazing playlist. Go with upbeat, happy tunes and try to avoid loud music, which makes it difficult for people to talk.

Prepare bites and drinks ahead. Make as much of your food and specialty drinks in advance as possible. Our Summer Spicy Grapefruit Margarita is tasty and easy to prep the night before.

Take a break before your party begins. Make sure that everything is done an hour and a half before your first guest arrives. That gives you a full hour to get ready and half an hour to sit down alone, be calm, have that first glass of wine and breathe.

We think this recipe is the perfect, easy-to-make cocktail that is sure to wow your guests for the May 5th holiday or any other celebration this summer.
